Objectives of the Course

This course aims to provide information about the debates on the relationship between religion and science and to provide students with the ability to make evaluations.

In this course, the relationship between religion and science will be examined historically and through problems.

Learning Outcomes
1.Understands the basic concepts in the field of theology and has a good command of the relationships between concepts.
2.He/she exhibits behaviors that set an example for the society with his/her attitudes and behaviors in line with the requirements of the theological knowledge he/she has acquired. It supports the universality of social and cultural rights, gains awareness of social justice, and protects historical and cultural heritage.
3.It shares the knowledge and skills in the field of theology and the solutions proposed by scientific methods to the problems in the field with relevant people and institutions through various communication tools.
4.Has awareness about the effects and legal consequences of religious understanding and practices on a universal and social scale (security, health, economy, environment, etc.).
5.She uses her theoretical and practical knowledge of textbooks containing current information in the field of theology, application tools and scientific research methods and techniques, in the fields of education, research and community service.
6.Has an open attitude towards changing life and innovation; is aware of social, economic, legal and political developments.
7.Works independently by taking individual initiative or takes responsibility as a team member to solve complex religious issues encountered in the social sphere.
8.It conducts interdisciplinary research - examination, interpretation and analysis by establishing relationships with the sub-branches of theology and other fields of science.
9.Selects, uses and develops appropriate tools for the field of theology and uses the information and information technologies required by the field at an advanced level.
10.It considers social, cultural, scientific and moral values ??in the collection, analysis, interpretation, announcement and use of the results in the field of theology.
