Objectives of the Course

In the course titled “Contemporary Sufism Issues”; The origin of Sufism, which remains current in every period and geography, as well as the value of knowledge, forms of action, human-being relationship, the essential nature of Melametism, in which subjects the Sufis made mistakes, the diversity of the sects, rabita, miracles, wali, etc. It is aimed to provide general information about the characteristics of the concepts, the distinction between Sufism and community, and Sufi-politics relations.

Course Content

The origin of Sufism, the practical dimensions of Sufism, the relationship between Sufis and beings, the historical process of Malamatiyya, its methods and principles, râbita, miracles, saints, mentors, etc. characteristics of concepts, sufism-community distinction, sufi-politics relations

Learning Outcomes
1.To have a general knowledge of the basic issues of Sufism;
2.To consider the basic issues of Sufism in terms of reliable main sources;
3.Being able to accurately follow the historical process by getting to the root of basic issues;
4.To have the authority to eliminate the effect of the intentional negative perception that is tried to be created through Sufism on the individual and society;
5.Gaining skills on where and how to investigate the accuracy of the information and claims made about Sufism.
