Objectives of the Course

Provides the ability to reach and interpret information about the field of study.

Course Content

To deal with all aspects of the Imamiyye school, which represents the main spine among the Shiite sects.

1.The student learns the main structure of Imamiye Shia, which is the second major school of Islamic tradition
2.Students learn the central position of Imamiyya Shia in Shia thought and the points where it differs from gulat sects
3.The student comprehends the historical development stages of Imamiyya Shiism and the differentiation in the process
4.Students comprehend the religious / political activities and engagements of Imami Shia during the Iran / Islamic revolution and the Arab Spring
5.They have the opportunity to get to know the Imamiyya Shia from their basic sources.

The evolution of the supportership of Ahl al-Bayt from a psychological ground to a political one

The development of systematic Shia thought, the construction of Nas and Tayin theory.
Week 7 - Theoretical
The Occultation Period and the rise of the Shiite Ulama
Week 8 - Theoretical
The Buwayhi period and its effects on the theoretical and practical construction of the Imami school

Religion-state relations and the rise of Shiism in the Ilkhanians period.
