Objectives of the Course

To examine the development of systematic Islamic thought and its relationship with Kalam and Philosophy of Religion.

Course Content

J. Hick and religious pluralism. A. Plantinga and theodicy. R. Swinburne and rational theology. P. Tillich and religious symbolism. R. Bultmann and existentialist theology. L. Wittgenstein and religious language. E. Gilson and atheism.
