Objectives of the Course

The aim of the course; the aim of the field of religious education science, subject and methods; to evaluate religious education programmes specific to religious education, taking into account the examples of the world, and to contribute to religious education. to discuss the content of the related terminology. In addition, in Turkey have knowledge about the process of religious education from past to present and to analyse the current situation in terms of the purpose, content and methodology of religious education. In addition to these, adult religious education and religious education in the family by analysing their conceptual content, methods and problem areas.

Course Content

Some concepts related to religious education, fields of religious education, principles, methods, relations with other branches, historical development of Islamic religious education, emergence as a branch of science, theories of religious development, religion and learning, historical development and legal basis of religious education in Turkey, training of religious teaching staff, religious education in some western countries.

8.Knows and discusses the issues related to Imam Hatip High Schools and Religious Affairs.
9.Discusses the basic issues of higher religious education.
10.Discusses the current issues of religious education.
