To analyze the economic dynamics and consequences of technological development in the context of different economic theories; to reveal the theoretical background of the relationship between development and industrialization in EMEs and science-technology policies.
Technology policy includes National Innovation Systems, Industrial and Technology Policies, International Competitiveness and Technology Factor and topics within this scope.
| 1. | Students will learn the Neoclassical, Marxist and Schumpeterian approaches to the conceptualization of technology and technological development. |
| 2. | Students will learn R&D support as a technology policy and intellectual and industrial property rights. |
| 3. | Students will be able to compare the development of industrial and technological policies in Turkey with the science, technology and industrial policies of the European Union. |
| 4. | Students will be able to comprehend the importance of the technology factor in achieving international competitiveness and will be able to make comparative analysis between countries. |
| 5. | Students will have knowledge about the emerging sectors in Turkey and will be able to recognize the importance of technological elements in these sectors. |
