Objectives of the Course

In this course, the economic integration process of Europe and Turkey's place in this process will be examined.

Course Content

Integration theory, forms of integration, their effects on the economies of the parties and different applications will be reviewed. After briefly reviewing the historical development of the EU and its current stage, institutions such as the Economic and Monetary Union and the ECB, a holistic picture will be presented by discussing the EU relations with Turkey and the main economic problems in the full membership process, common policies, customs union, convergence criteria.
