The course on Twelver Shi‘ism (Imamiyya) aims to provide a comprehensive understanding of the most widespread and systematic branch of Shi‘ite thought. It focuses on the historical development, core theological doctrines, and political-theological structure of the Imamiyya tradition. The course covers the early formation of the sect, the concept of imamate, its primary sources, and its contemporary manifestations. Students are expected to critically evaluate the Imamiyya school from a holistic perspective, including its interactions and relations with other Islamic sects throughout history.
To deal with all aspects of the Imamiyye school, which represents the main spine among the Shiite sects.
