The primary objective is to guide the student in considering the concepts used in the field of social psychology and the theories developed based on these concepts while analyzing or seeking to understand various dimensions of religious life.
This course explores the historical development of social psychology, its position among other scientific disciplines, the methodologies it employs, as well as key topics such as social perception and attitude formation. The course aims to equip students with a social psychological perspective—not merely to repeat traditional knowledge, but to enable them to effectively utilize insights from the social sciences. Students will develop an understanding of how religious attitudes are formed, examine practical examples of how social psychology functions within religious services, and gain knowledge of religious communication techniques.
