It covers various approaches such as reformist, Salafi, modernist, traditionalist, and radical movements, analyzing their origins, core ideas, key figures, and current influences. The course seeks to equip students with the ability to critically evaluate the intellectual diversity of contemporary Islam within its proper context.
Religious movements and groups are the biggest phenomenon of Modern Muslim societes. Understanding and analyzing these groups, which are very affective in politics, economy, culture and religious life, is very important.
