Fiqh is a branch of science that regulates the rights and responsibilities of the individual, as it is clearly seen in the first definitions made about it. This branch of science, which deals with the actions of the taxpayer, contains provisions regarding both the individual relations between the servant and God and the social relations between people and between people and the state. Since the first day of its emergence as a scientific discipline, fiqh has been a discipline in which various scientific discussions have been carried out, different schools have emerged and continuous knowledge production has been experienced. In addition to this feature, the science of fiqh has also assumed a role that has built, shaped and transformed different Muslim societies that have existed in various geographies for many years. The science of fiqh is composed of three main sections: worship, daily transactions, and crime and punishment. Due to its importance as it represents the purpose of the creation of human beings, the first subject addressed within the scope of this science is the subject of worship.
Within the scope of this course, in addition to the definition of fiqh, its subject, concepts and its relationship with other Islamic Sciences, it is aimed to introduce the concept of worship and the issues related to this concept in a comprehensive way, to create a conceptual framework related to this field and to provide the student with the knowledge and competence to solve the problems related to worships that the student will encounter both in his professional and daily life. In this context, taharah, prayer, zakat, fasting, fasting, hajj, sacrifice and all acts that have the meaning of worship in terms of fiqh will be discussed.
