Objectives of the Course

The aim is to provide students with proficiency in scientific methods within the framework of reason and transmission, on the history of the science of Kalam, which deals with the principles of Islamic belief and the evidence of these principles, and on the problems of divinity.

Course Content

In this course, the definition of kalam, its history, periods, schools, important representatives and issues related to divinity will be discussed systematically with religious texts and rational evidence.

1.Understands the basic concepts in the field of theology and has a good command of the relationships between concepts.
2.Selects, uses and develops appropriate tools for the field of theology and uses the information and information technologies required by the field at an advanced level.
3.It follows theoretical and practical information in the field of theology and shares this information with experts and non-experts and organizations in the relevant field.
4.Has the ability to identify, define, critically evaluate, interpret, formulate and solve classical and current religious issues; For this purpose, it selects and applies appropriate analysis and modeling methods.
5.He/she exhibits behaviors that set an example for the society with his/her attitudes and behaviors in line with the requirements of the theological knowledge he/she has acquired. It supports the universality of social and cultural rights, gains awareness of social justice, and protects historical and cultural heritage.
6.It shares the knowledge and skills in the field of theology and the solutions proposed by scientific methods to the problems in the field with relevant people and institutions through various communication tools.
7.Works independently by taking individual initiative or takes responsibility as a team member to solve complex religious issues encountered in the social sphere.
