Objectives of the Course

To introduce the student to Islamic Ethics, which is an important part of Islamic culture, and its basic concepts and ideas, and to help students reach a level where they can understand the basic structure of this culture.

Learning Outcomes
1.In this course, the student can evaluate the history of Islamic morality, its concepts, method, representatives and its relationship with today's moral understanding.
2.Can analyze the understandings of morality that emerged within Islamic thought, the differences and common aspects of Islamic morality and moral philosophy.
3.Can research the ideas that influenced the formation of Islamic morality, especially the understanding of morality established in Islamic religion and Greek philosophy.
4.Examines the understandings of morality in the classical philosophical literature of Islamic culture.
5.Compares the different understandings of morality that emerged in Islamic thought.
6.Evaluates the main thinkers of Islamic ethics and related literature.
