Our faculty was established on 03.07.1992 together with our University and the first lecturer was appointed in 1993. After the establishment procedures and service buildings were completed, patient services were started with undergraduate and medical specialization training. In our faculty, postgraduate medical education in 1996, with 3 majors and 6 specialization students in medicine; He started his undergraduate medical education in 1998 with 28 students. Our language of education is Turkish. As of October 2022, 487 medical residency students and 29 minor research assistants are being trained in postgraduate medical education. In addition, postgraduate education continues in ÖYP (Lecturer Training Programme), master's and doctorate programs. The number of medical students is increasing in parallel with the increasing number of academic members. As of October 2022, the number of our students has reached 1564. Our hospital, which is still in service, was moved to the new hospital building on the campus in 2010 and provides service with 748 beds in its new building with all branches of surgery and internal medicine. Of these, 524 are standard beds, 131 are intensive care beds, and 23 are palliative care beds. With the facilities in the new service building, the best and quality clinical and laboratory services are provided to approximately one million people, including patients from Aydın and surrounding cities. Although it has a short history, our hospital has become a reference hospital for Aydın and neighboring provinces.

With the opening of the new Aydın Adnan Menderes University Practice and Research Hospital building located on the central campus in 2010, pre- and post-graduation clinical education and health service activities are carried out in this building.

Our faculty, which provides education in its new building as of June 2022, provides different opportunities for our students with research, clinical skills, student practice laboratories, study rooms and computer laboratory. 8 scientific research laboratories in the faculty building 4 clinical skills laboratories 1 computer laboratory with a capacity of 50 computers 1 anatomy practice laboratory 3 student practice labs 8 research laboratories There are 2 study halls for 90 and 40 people. Clinical training practices are carried out with 200 polyclinics, 748 bed capacity and 131 intensive care beds, 15 operating rooms, 4 (genetics, microbiology, pathology and biochemistry) laboratories within the body of ADU Faculty of Medicine Research and Practice Hospital.

Eduroam internet network is used in the faculty, which enables students to access internet easily. There are computers in the computer laboratory to meet the needs of the students, and there are computers and projection devices that allow online lessons in the classrooms. In addition, in the hospital, which is a training and application center for the Faculty students, the intensive care unit with a capacity of 131 beds, services with a capacity of 489 beds, 14 operating rooms, 1 Emergency Operating Room, a 23-bed Palliative Care Unit, a 21-bed Hemodialysis-Peritoneum Dialysis Unit, a 6-bed Organ There is a Tissue Transplantation Unit, a 4-bed Bone Marrow Transplantation Unit, a 5-bed Burn Unit, a 35-bed Chemotherapy Unit, and a 22-bed Physical Therapy Center.
