Objectives of the Course

Gaining knowledge and experience on medical law

Course Content

Basic legal concepts, basic concepts of medical law, general framework, common medical law study topics. Within the framework of national and international legislation, medical law, informed consent in medical interventions and medical malpractice, some crimes that may find application in terms of physicians and healthcare professionals

Learning Outcomes
1.To develop basic legal literacy,
2.To learn the basic concepts and institutions of medical law, its development and resources,
3.To learn the rights and obligations of patients and physicians,
4.To examine all aspects of medical law within the framework of the legislation related to medical law,
5.To recognize the preliminary and main contracts to be applied for medical interventions,
6.To examine the legal responsibilities of physicians, other health workers and health institutions arising from medical intervention in terms of medical law,
7.Obtaining preliminary information about the legal problems that may be encountered in the profession, To understand the working mechanisms of medical law by examining the decisions of local courts, district courts and higher courts,
8.Gaining practice through fictional examples.
