Objectives of the Course

To teach how to be protected from radiation while working with radiation, the areas of use and the examination of triage procedures from the physician's point of view during radiation accident.

Course Content

What happened to radiation, types of radiation, to comprehend radiation dose units, to have knowledge about detection of radiation, radiation dose limitations and basic principles of protection, to comprehend the biological effects of radiation and to examine the relationship between pregnancy and radiation. In addition, to comprehend the causes of radiation accidents, to understand the types of radiation accidents and the points to be considered in first response, to learn the priorities of the triage process in radiation accidents and how to do it.
