Objectives of the Course

Providing the integration of pre-clinical knowledge and skills with the clinic, managing common diseases in the field of pediatric health and diseases at the primary care level (pre-diagnosis, diagnosis, treatment, emergency intervention, follow-up, appropriate referral and taking protective measures) and monitoring healthy children to gain skills.

Learning Outcomes
1.According to the level of competence and competence that a physician working in primary care should have, he can take anamnesis from the patient, make a physical examination, distinguish normal / abnormal findings according to the information obtained, determine preliminary diagnoses, ask for the necessary examinations, comments and request necessary consultations.
2.Knows the normals of the neonatal, infancy, childhood and adolescence periods (growth curves, psychomotor development steps, vital signs) and can evaluate the growth-development status of the child and detect disorders in this area.
3.Can make a newborn evaluation and distinguish pathological conditions.
4.Have knowledge about normal nutrition, nutritional methods and nutritional disorders in childhood, can determine nutritional disorders in children, and may request necessary examinations, comments, consultancy and request necessary consultations.
5.Knows childhood vaccinations and can follow up.
6.Know the normal motor and mental development stages in children and distinguish pathological situations.
7.In emergency situations, he / she evaluates the patient systematically and can apply the necessary examinations and first-line treatment options. He may ask for the necessary consultations.
