The aim of the general surgery pre-medicine practice program is to provide the student with the skills of examining the patients in the general surgery outpatient clinic, distinguishing the patient who will require surgery, and directing the patients who do not require surgery to the most appropriate branches. Among the other objectives of the internship are to increase the experience of the students, especially in the acute abdomen, by making personal examinations of patients requiring emergency surgery, to gain surgery and operating room discipline, and to increase their experience of approaching the preoperative and postoperative patient.

| 1. | To have knowledge to diagnose, treat and follow-up diseases related to general surgery in primary care, and to direct emergency or elective cases requiring surgery to the advanced stage. |
