Objectives of the Course

During this internship period, in order for students to be able to perform pediatric health and diseases practices in primary health care in a complete and qualified manner, to develop the basic knowledge, skills and attitudes acquired in the preclinical and clinical periods in the medical education process, to gain experience and skills, to take responsibility for the practices of medicine that protect ethical values. to bring them to the level that they can apply in the field of health and diseases.

Learning Outcomes
1.Obtain an anamnesis from the patient and her relatives, which includes the application complaint, history, habits, personal and family history and questioning of the systems.
2.Can take anthropometric measurements to evaluate growth and plot and interpret on growth curves.
3.Measure and evaluate vital functions in children and perform systemic physical examination.
4.Determines the pathological symptoms and signs according to the anamnesis and physical examination results, creates pre-diagnoses and requests basic diagnostic tests.
5.Pediatric patients who present with urgent complaints can be evaluated according to the severity of their illness and put in the order of urgency. It can interfere with emergency situations such as shock, high fever, convulsion, loss of consciousness, respiratory-heart failure, diabetic ketoacidosis, etc.
