Objectives of the Course

During this clinical education period, students should be able to perform basic primary care gynecological and obstetric patient evaluations and clinical examinations, interpret the findings, have minimal experience about common gynecological and obstetric diseases, and gain the capacity to distinguish patients requiring further examination and treatment, preventive and early treatment principles. they are intended to adopt.

Students will be able to perform basic primary care gynecological and obstetric patient evaluations and clinical examinations during this clinical education period.

Learning Outcomes
1.To be able to take a complete anamnesis of the patients about gynecological and obstetric diseases and to manage this period rationally
2.Being able to perform clinical examination of patients on their own
3.To have an idea about common gynecological diseases (myoma uteri, endometriosis, pelvic mass, pelvic inflammatory disease, ectopic pregnancy, gynecological malignancies etc.)
4.Obstetric diseases (abortion imminence, preterm labor, premature membrane rupture, vaginal bleeding, gestational hypertension, preeclampsia, placenta previa, placenta accreta, gestational diabetes, follow-up of the first stage of labor, etc.)
5.To gain knowledge and experience to predict in which clinical situations obstetric and gynecological patients should be evaluated / treated in secondary and tertiary care.
