Objectives of the Course

The student should learn the mythology of the geography in which Adnan Menderes University is located and be aware of the environment in which he lives during his undergraduate education; To recognize the mentality and culture of the people who lived in ancient times; seeing cultural interaction and continuity; It is aimed to learn ancient Greek and Roman mythology.

Course Content

The temples of ancient Greek and Roman gods, their anthropomorphic features, epiphany and cult ceremonies will be explained; Homeric epics will be taught and the place of literature will be compared with the archaeological space and the literary epiphany and the archaeological epiphany; The metaphors used in the Homeric epics will be examined; the hermeneutic method will be explained; Ancient Greek and Roman mythology will be taught.
