The basic definitions, internal loads, simple stresses, combined stresses

Name of Lecturer(s)
Learning Outcomes
1.Determine the mechanical behaviour (stress and strain)of materials under different loading systems
2.Use graphical method (Mohrs circle) for obtianing the prinsipal plane and prinsipal stresses
3.Work out stresses for eccentric loading systems
4.Compute stresses for unsymmetrical bendings
5.Compute diflections in shafts under loading
6.Compute stability and buckling of members under compression loading cases
