Name of Lecturer(s)
Learning Outcomes
.Describes tasks of operations and service management by interpreting required concepts and relationships in the area of operations management.
.Determines what inputs are needed for the production of products and service offerings. Calculates the usage rates of inputs and determines the optimal combination of products/services
.Evaluates alternative sites for the best location decision. Proposes and implement layout changes.
.Plans and manages new product development and design changes to meet consumer needs. Contributes to the decisions of management and engineering in determining strategies for product life cycle.
.Contributes to making plans for creating a critical balance between the current state and business goals in managing a production process and allocating jobs, and implements the plans.
.Makes plans on how to procure materials to be used in production process and implements them. Works on resource productivity and process efficiency, prevents waste.
.Describes best layouts that will balance timing, quantity and cost 7) Describes best layouts that will balance timing, quantity and cost by evaluating alternative layouts for production and service offerings.
.Describes constraints of a process, contributes to the solutions for constraints, and describes layouts to meet the goals of organization.
.Designs inputs and activities within the process, makes plans and helps making decisions on how and when to meet shortcomings
.Describes and manages activities in project management, makes plans to meet the budget and time limits in completing a project, joins in project teams and manages them.
