Objectives of the Course

To gain the knowledge about the transmission of drinking water, storage of water, distribution (services) reservoirs of cities, distribution of water, hydraulic crıteries on waste and storm water disposal, the design criteries and the objectivities on practice

Water properties water demands/ Water transmission by pipeline/ Pumping stations/ Drinking water reservoir / Hydraulics of Water distribution networks / Hardy-Cross and Dead Point methods / Materials, joints, bedding of pipes / Hydraulics of waste water and storm water sewer system/ Rational method/ Hydraulics of storm water inlet structures/ Hydraulics of drainage structures: manholes, inverted siphons, storm water retention ponds / Types of pipes using sewer system

Hydraulics of pressured conduits, elements for transmission by pipeline.
Week 3 - Theoretical
The determination of plan and longitudinal profiles of pipelines, pumping on transmission pipeline, the determination of the optimum diameter of pipelines pumped
Week 4 - Theoretical
Pumping stations, types, characteristic curves of pipes and pumps, pumping stations arrangements, Connection of Pumps in series and parallel, water hammer and protections methods
Week 5 - Theoretical
Drinking water reservoir; types and the determination of the resorvoir volume
Week 6 - Theoretical
Hydraulics of Water distribution networks, the determination of the water distribution networks by Hardy-Cross method

Hardy-Cross and Dead Point methods and their comparison each other
