Objectives of the Course

To be able to grasp the importance of the Life Science course for educating effective citizens. Introducing the curriculum from the aspect of outcome, skills and conceptual properties. Introduce to basic teaching skills and strategies for teaching the course Teaching the use of instructional methods and techniques for instruction of Life science teaching. Perceiving the importance of democracy teaching, and getting democratic life as behavior.

Course Content

Goals, content and concept of life science, historical development of life science course in Turkey and other countries. Examination of life science curriculum from the aspect of target, ability and concept etc. . , themes in the curriculum and distribution of the target of themes. Basic teaching skills in life science education, teaching strategies, exercises and examples relating to the Form of Teaching and techniques, use of resource and material, values and democracy education in life science, sample applications for life science curriculum and evaluation of classroom activities.
