220/5000 The aim of this course is to enable students to classify disasters, to create disaster awareness in students and to help them understand the importance of cooperating in order to reduce the damages of disasters.
Concepts of disaster and risk; reducing disaster, risk and losses; disaster training and its importance; disaster preparedness, disaster response, disaster recovery; natural and human disasters; effects of disasters on sustainable development; climate change and meteorological disasters; Turkey and disaster mitigation work in the world; earthquake regulation, efficiency in disaster management; disaster management cycle, disaster terminology; coordination, emergency and disaster coordination centers in disaster management; ethical values in disaster management, project presentations.
