Objectives of the Course

The aim of this course is to increase the theoretical knowledge of pre-service teachers about the concept of social skills and to develop the skills to plan, implement and evaluate the activities of primary school children by using this theoretical knowledge.

Course Content

Definition of social skills, dimensions, relationship between dimensions; gaining social skills and generalizing skills; selection of target skills; analyzing skill, modeling to children, role playing and rehearsing skills; repeating ability to children; assess children's performance; generalizing social skills and examining primary school curriculum; determination of skills in courses and sample activity applications will be covered.

1.Defines the concept of social skills, explains the dimensions and the relationship between the dimensions.
2.He / She selects the appropriate methods and techniques which can be used to gain social skills.
3.To be able to use different methods and techniques to measure social skills.
4.Examines the social skills aimed to be acquired within the scope of primary school programs.
5. Plans, implements and evaluates activities to improve the social skills of primary school children.
