Objectives of the Course

In this course, it is aimed to improve the language skills of students who do not acquire reading, writing, speaking, listening and visual literacy skills appropriate to their level even though they do not have detectable mental and physical disabilities.

Course Content

This course focuses on the preparation and implementation of enriched language teaching activities in order to improve the language skills of students who have not been able to acquire reading, writing, speaking, listening and visual literacy skills appropriate to their level even though they do not have detectable mental and physical disabilities; Techniques, methods and activities on how to teach children how to read and write are emphasized; language with different levels of prior knowledge from different socio-economic segments and therefore having problems in gaining and using language skills, due to different reasons in school and home environment (teacher change, inability to adapt, inadequate home conditions, domestic violence and incompatibility, etc.) It is focused on how to teach students who cannot acquire and use their skills adequately; Teaching Turkish as a foreign language / second language to migrant children and approaches, methods, techniques and practices used in the teaching process.
