Objectives of the Course

To be able to provide sudents with exploration of the history of civilization in the past civilizations-discussing social, political and military activities, contemplating about the effects of modern civilization and commenting

Course Content

Formation of the world and the Prehistoric Ages, Ancient history and civilization of Mesopotamia, history and civilization of Ancient Egypt, Ancient Anatolian Civilizations of Central Asia and Iran, Civilization, Ancient Greek Civilization, Roman Civilization, History of Middle-Ages (5-15. Century), the New Era Europe (15-17. century), the Age of Enlightenment (18th century); revolution for democracy and the Industrial Revolution of the 20th and 21 Century: Wars, Peace, and globalization.

2.Comparatively analyze the political, economic, social, and cultural characteristics of different civilizations.
3.Evaluate the contributions of civilizations to science, technology, art, law, and intellectual thought.
4.Interpret processes of cultural interaction, continuity, and change among civilizations based on historical evidence.
5.Critically assess the influence of past civilizations on contemporary societies and global culture.
