Department of Fine Arts Education aims to train students to work as teachers of fine arts at state and private schools, and to become academicians and researchers at universities.
History
Department of Fine Arts Education, founded in 2005, has been accepting students since the Academic Year of 2005-2006 and offering undergraduate education programmes.
Mission
In accordance with the needs of our country and within the framework set by the Turkish National Education System; the Department of Fine Arts Education aims to develop teachers of Fine Arts Education who are faithful to Ataturk and principles of the Republic, secular, modern and democratic. It is aimed to educate artists who are creative, productive, critical thinking, competitive, self-confident, true to core values and who will be able to represent our country in both national and international scales by providing them with the creative, modern and professional training programs. With the formal and mass education programs, it is aimed to contribute to Turkish Society to reach the level of modern civilization by developing their artistic values. To transfer more effectively the longstanding feature of Aydın province, the valley of civilizations on which the university is, that it has been the province of science, art, and culture
Vision
In accordance with the legislation of the Turkish National Education System; to educate teachers of Fine Arts who will be proficient enough to serve in primary schools and in secondary schools, modern, democratic, secular and faithful to Ataturk.
Purpose
Department of Fine ArtsEducation is a program which aims to train teachers of primary fine arts education from the 1st to the 12th grades in primary schools. The objective of the program is to educate qualified teachers who will be aware of developmental characteristics of the children, and to promote self-esteem, motivation, aesthetic awareness, cultural exposure, creativity, improved emotional expression, as well as social harmony and appreciation of diversity.
