Objectives of the Course

At the end of this course, the students; 1) Learn the history and basic philosophy of brief psychological counseling approaches. 2) Know basic steps and principles of brief psychological counseling approaches. 3) Recognize different application areas of brief psychological counseling approaches.

Course Content

Cognitive, affective and behavioural therapy models and the history of short term therapies; solution focused Counseling principles and techniques, solution-based Counseling with children and adolescents

The history, features and basic assumptions of solution-focused and narrative brief psychological counseling

First session and explaining the process, developing a goal in solution focused brief counseling process

Techniques used in solution-focused brief psychological counseling
Week 5 - Theoretical
Discovery and structuring of solutions in solution-focused brief psychological counseling

In the solution-focused brief psychological counseling, integration the first session items and conducting other sessions
