Objectives of the Course

The aim of this course is to teach students the general principles of taxonomy, taxonomic categories, naming of plants, botanical names, plant determination and the reasons for the plant determination, the use of necessary materials and keys, classification systems of plants, plant evolution and differentiation of species; general features of Spermatophyta, classification and features of Gymnospermae and Angiospermae.

General principles of taxonomy, taxonomic categories, nomenclature, botanical names, determination of plant and the reasons, the necessary materials and the usage of keys, classification systems of plants, evolution of plants and diversity of species, general features of Spermatophyta, general features and classification of Gymnospermae and Angiospermae.

1.to be able to understand general principles of taxonomy, taxonomic categories,categories of species and subspecies.
2.to be able to understand nomenclature of plants; naming of taxa,editing, binary nomenclature, types and varieties, priority, transfer and separation
3.to be able to understand plant determination and the reasons of plant determination, the use of keys and materials which are necessary to identify plants.
4.to be able to understand classification systems of plants
5.to be able to understand the evolution and differentiation of species of plants
6.to be able to understand the general features of members of Spermatophyta, general features and classification of members of gymnospermae and angiospermae.

Botanical names, the formation of the species epitets, plant determination, the reasons of plant determination, the use of necessary equipment and keys
