Objectives of the Course

Get information about the interaction between religion, politics and social alteration in Middle east coutries and understanding the sociological dinamics behind the political devolopments in middle east societies.

Course Content

In this course it is analyzed the mutual interaction between politics, society and religion in middle east societies. It contains debates on developments from the birth of modern middle east to nowadays. This course aimed at making a critical reading on the topics such as Islam, democracy, goverment and modern nationalism.
