Objectives of the Course

Examining effects of scientific-technological developments on social life with sociological approach. Examining essential technological developments in socio-historical process and evaluating current technological developments. To evaluate speedy transformations in information, communication and production technologies and its positive/negative reflections on social life.

Essential technological transformations from Enlightenment era - ındustry revolution to recent days, new information/production and communication technologies and socioogical reflections, the relation between technology and ideology.
