Historical actions involve temporal succession while questioning social structures clinging to time and space; It aims to take into account the interaction of action and durable contexts when making sense of transformations and their consequences. Sociology as a science emerged as a result of important political, social, economic and intellectual developments and changes that occurred especially in Western European societies in the 19th century. The connection issues between history and sociology pave the way for these two disciplines to act together and create a stronger social science tradition. These two disciplines, with their similarities and differences, have made significant contributions to building the social science tradition of the modernization period. Examples of historical sociology studies and students' own small-scale research practices, the relations between history and sociology, and the common and divergent aspects of the sciences are examined. Accordingly, the functions of these sciences in social history studies constitute the content of this course.
