Objectives of the Course

Studying about pioneers of modern historiography, historiography in the 20th century, Annales School and its effects, Post-modern historiography and its effects, popular history studies in Turkey and in world and current historical matters.

Course Content

Formation of popular history field within the general understanding of history. Popular examples of historiography in Turkey and in the world, elements of popular date field, revising the relationship between academic historiography with the popularization of History
