Objectives of the Course

In this course, students gain the necessary theoretical and practical information by taking part in archaeological excavations in the execution of field work and documentation and inventory of the finds in these excavations.

Course Content

In this course, inventorization of small artifacts unearthed in archaeological excavations and the methods and techniques of documenting the drawings and photographs will be discussed in detail.

1.To be able to describe the steps of the ruins and archaeological finds.
2.To be able to describe the capture points while photographing the small finds.
3.To be able to provide information about different types of storage and conservation of archaeological finds
4.To be able to prepare architectural and small finds follow-up forms and report.
5.To be able to make scaled drawings of small finds (ceramics, glass and metal objects).
