Objectives of the Course

The art of painting during the development of the Republic of Turkey, will be discussed with course pictures, art and new trends that shape today's contemporary arts groups and the effect of the contribution of the Turkish art of painting will be examined.

Course Content

In this course, the Republican period, the development of Turkish art, art trends and the emergence of new groups will be discussed.

1.To be able to comprehend the culture and arts activities during the period of the Republic.
2.To be able to recognize different groups and artists emerging successively in this period,.
3.To be able to compare the sultans who get art education at the Ottoman palace with foreign or minority artists of the period.
4.To be able to discuss the artists who are sent abroad for training and their art education.
5.To be able to interpret female and male artists of the period in terms of their education and works.
