This course is primarily intended for students who are able to read and understand in English. It aims to introduce main art history terminology in English and is designed to assist students in reading and understanding main texts produced in the field of art history.
Weekly meetings includes comprehending and analysing different types of texts written by the pioneers of the discipline such as Kostof, Necipoğlu, Wöfflin, Riegl. Students are expected to benefit from the guidance of the instructor in understanding the text in English and different viewpoints of many experts in the field. -Art History terminology in English -Main text developed by the pioneers in the field of art history -Interpretations in historical architectural products - Urban studies
