Objectives of the Course

The aim of this course is to focus on the examples of postmodern literature written in the second half of the twentieth century and to analyze the literary techniques and themes used in this period.

Course Content

In this course, students analyze postmodern novels and evaluate them in terms of form and content. While evaluating the literary works, the social, economic and historical conditions of the period are studied closely.

3.3. To evaluate postmodern works in terms of form and content.
4.4. To identify and analyze the implicit and explicit meanings of a literary text.
5.5. To approach a text critically and make logical deductions based on textual evidences.
6.6. To have knowledge of English culture, history and literature.
