Objectives of the Course

Study of contemporary literary theories and their application to literary texts.

Chronological study of literar theory and schools of criticism.

1.To be able to define both literary theory and literary criticism, and accumulate enough knowledge on the emergence and rise of these two fields as a discipline of study
2.Oral expression of the knowledge obtained during the study of the course.
3.Written expression of the knowledge obtained during the study of the course.
4.To be able to have a fifteen-or-twenty-minute oral presentation.
5.Learning how to use a dictionary effectively.
