Objectives of the Course

A historical evaluation of literary criticism is conducted through an examination of key critics and critical approaches from antiquity to modern literary criticism.

Edebi eleştirinin Antik dönemden modern döneme uzanan tarihsel gelişimi ana hatlarıyla incelenmektedir.

Learning Outcomes

1.	To be able to define both literary theory and literary criticism, and accumulate enough knowledge on the emergence and rise of these two fields as a discipline of study
2.	Oral expression of the knowledge obtained during the study of the course.
3.	Written expression of the knowledge obtained during the study of the course.
4.	To be able to have a fifteen-or-twenty-minute oral presentation.
5.	Learning how to use a dictionary effectively.
