Objectives of the Course

The course examines main points of development in English short story tradition in the twentieth century as well as analysis of selected short stories written in the 20th century.

A thematic study of short stories written in the field of English literature during the 20th century.

1.Mastery of characteristics of the genre of 20th century English short-story , and build up an awareness of historical, social, political, economic and literary background of the 20th century.
2.Written expression of each analyzed short story.
3.Oral expression of each analyzed short story.
4.Learning how to use a dictionary effectively.
5.To be able to have a fifteen-or-twenty-minute oral presentation.
