Objectives of the Course

Dersin Amacı (ING) The banking course aims to provide students with a comprehensive understanding of the fundamental structure, elements, and functions of the banking system. This course will cover the role and operation of banks within the economic system in detail, equipping students with both theoretical knowledge and practical skills. Detailed information about the Turkish banking system and regulatory framework will be provided, enabling students to compare local and global banking practices. The course content will examine key functions such as the capital structure of banks, lending processes, risk management, and payment systems. Consequently, students will develop a thorough knowledge and understanding of the banking sector, acquiring the competencies necessary to succeed professionally in the industry.

Course Content

This course aims to provide a comprehensive understanding of the fundamental structure, elements, and functions of the banking system. The course will cover the organizational structure, capital structure, and basic elements of banks. Additionally, the key functions of banks such as deposit collection, lending, risk management, payment systems, and investment services will be examined in detail.
