Objectives of the Course

To introduce the retailing sector in general lines, to investigate developments and new trends at retailing

Course Content

Topics, Objectives and Methodology of the course, introduction to the Retail , the classification of retail industry (store and non-store retailing), environmental factors affecting Retail (macro and micro environmental factors), electronic retailing, and differences from traditional retailers, retailer and consumer behavior in business (purchasing reasons and purchasing decision-making process of consumers), Strategic retail and retail management strategy, foundation decisions of Retailers stores and the choice of location, product management at retailer enterprises, category planning and purchasing, procurement budget and strategic retail planning process in retail stores, supply chain and logistics management at retail enterprises, pricing policies and methods in retail stores, Retail marketing communications ( retail marketing communication mix, planning of retail marketing communication programs), physical planning and store atmosphere in retail business.
