Objectives of the Course

The aim of the course is to introduce and discuss in detail the concepts of state and bureaucracy and the theories that deal with them to undergraduate students. A student who successfully completes this course will be able to comparatively analyze how different thinkers have dealt with the state from antiquity to the present day and will be able to interpret between theory and reality.

Course Content

State and bureaucracy concepts; Theories related to the imagination of the state, the nature and construction of the modern state, bureaucracy and bureaucratic organization, bureaucracy theories constitute the content of the course.

Learning Outcomes
1.Students observe the different developments of state theory in the classical and modern periods.
2.Students will understand the problem of bureaucratic power control and develop solutions.
3.Students understand and interpret the relationship between politics and bureaucracy.
4.Students have knowledge about the teachings and theories in the discipline.
5.Students will be able to understand, interpret and explain the nature, functions and political role of bureaucracy in the classical and modern state.
