Objectives of the Course

The occurrence of physiological events in plants. To explain the physiological activities according to physical and chemical basis.

Course Content

Introduction to physiology, Cellular structure of plants, Water and nutrients uptake & transport mechanisms, Photosynthesis and transpiration, Enzymes, Plant growth regulators.

1.To be able to explain the events during the lifes of plants and changes in the active substances that affects these events.
2.To be able to Explain the problems of germination, growth and development in a plant.
3.To be able to Explain the relation of encountered problems in plant breeding and plant physiology .
4.To be able to Evaluate the effectiveness of various agricultural practices in a physiological way
5.To be able to Explain the uptake and trasportation of the water in plants.
6.To be able to Explain the uptake methods of plant nutrients.
7.To be able to Explain the mechanisms of transportation of plant nutritients in the plants
8.To be able to Explain the transportation of photosynthesis products in the plants.
