Objectives of the Course

The aim of this course is to provide knowledge and skills regarding the pruning of fruit trees and pruning principles and techniques.

Course Content

Description, times, aims and types of pruning; Physiological Principles of Pruning, subjected attracted attention during pruning application; training systems in trees; pruning tool and equipments.

Negative impacts of outcomes of pruning in fruit trees. Environmental and cultural reasons for prunings.

The introduction of general anatomical structure of fruit trees.

Physiological Principles of Pruning, Natural growing type in different species and cultivars and flower bud formation.
