Objectives of the Course

This course aims to provide the students of the Department of Plant Protection with the ability to solve the problems they will encounter in their working life by examining the knowledge they have learned in the field of science and basic engineering knowledge during their education and working life. For this purpose, the steps taken to reveal the problem/problem, planning to solve it, carrying it out and bringing it to the result will be conveyed one by one with examples.

Course Content

Within the scope of this course, it will be explained how a scientific research project will be designed and carried out, which issues are requested in the project application file when applying for a project in general, and students will be provided to prepare project proposal files. This will give an infrastructure for the project design of a problem encountered both before and after graduation. In addition, the issue of creating agrochemical spraying programmes that students will frequently encounter after graduation will also be examined. In addition to these, after graduation, they will have information about how the legislation works and the "standard pesticide trial methods" recommended by the ministry in case they want to do counselling. Thus, if they are employed in an authorised institution/organisation, they will have the knowledge to establish and evaluate field trials in accordance with the regulations and procedures. Considering that the majority of our graduates will establish agrochemical dealers, the legislation on this subject will also be explained.
