Course Content

In this course, what a computer is, what it can and cannot do, what point today's information technologies have reached will be explained. The basic components of the computer will be discussed and the concept of hardware and software will be discussed, which basic hardware it has and which user programs are frequently used will be explained. In addition, by briefly talking about computer programming languages, students will be attracted to this field and students who may have talent will be encouraged to develop themselves on this subject in the future. The course will continue with what operating systems are used for, and all programs will be classified and programs that may be needed both until graduation and for the rest of their lives will be mentioned. With open source software, students will be given the necessary training to be able to use a writing editor, a spreadsheet and a presentation program comfortably.
